Jack Lee Allbritton, Jr.

It is with a profoundly heavy heart that I share the passing of Lee Allbritton my business partner and friend of over 21 years.

There are people who work in this industry, and then there are people who elevate it. Lee was the latter.

For over two decades, he was my partner at Amicus Search Group; and more than that, he was my friend. Watching him work was something special. In an industry full of noise, Lee had a rare gift: he tuned it all out and focused on his clients and candidates as if their searches were for his own career. Not simply as a strategy or as a business philosophy; servicing and the betterment of others was simply who he was.

He was honest and ethical and held himself to the highest of standards — the kind of standards that can't be taught and don't need to be artificially enforced because they come deep within someone's character. His clients knew it. His candidates knew it. Many of them stayed with him for decades, and that doesn't happen by accident. It happens when someone treats you with integrity every single time, without exception because that is who they are.

The standard he set for how to treat people, how to show up, and what it means to truly serve a client is one that will continue to define Amicus Search Group and everyone fortunate enough to have worked alongside him.

Beyond the work, Lee was a devoted husband, father and friend. He adored his wife Anissa and his daughter Evan with everything he had. He was a beloved uncle and brother, and anyone lucky enough to be in his orbit knew they were in the presence of someone genuinely great — a prince of a man in the truest sense of the word.

The legal recruiting community has lost one of its finest, and I have lost a partner and a friend who was irreplaceable in every way.

Hug the people you love today. Lee would have wanted that.

Rest easy, my friend. You left this place better than you found it.
